GA2G youth invited their family, friends and youth in the community to introduce themselves, their vision and goals.
Having this picnic was a highlight GA2G activity this summer. It provided them a chance to show everyone in the Ethiopian community what they have been learning and doing. It was their goal that by promoting their group in this manner, it would provide an open door for others to participate, attend, and support them.
The group felt that this goal was met. Many children in the Ethiopian community had fun with water balloon fights, three-legged races, and other competitive games. They served Ethiopian food along with hamburgers and hot dogs from the grill.
The parents and adults from the Ethiopian community were both pleasantly surprised and very proud of the youth and their efforts.
