Celebrting World Day and Grand opening of Lose for Good Garden.

Sponsored by Nickelodeon, Felege Hiywot Center will be celebrating world day on september 25th 10AM - 3PM. 

On the 25th, Nickelodeon goes dark for the 7th year in a row to encourage kids to get up and go out and play!  We are joining Nickelodeon by getting kids out to walk and collect recyclables at the same time.  The kids will be given pedometer to track their number of steps and the top 3 in different age catagories will get a prize.  What a great way to talk about personal health and the health of the environment at the same time.

On the 25th we are also celebrating a Grand opening of Lose For Good Garden. 10AM - 11AM

 As part of the Lose For Good Campaign, Weight Watchers and Share Our Strength are donating gardens to communities across America.  These Lose For Good Gardens are fully contained, sustainable, raised-bed gardens that offer children fun, hands-on gardening experiences that inspire healthy eating habits for life.  Join us as we celebrate the grand opening of the new Lose For Good Garden at the Martindale-Brightwood Community Center!

This is also a great day fort the community celebrating the official starting day of renovation and fund raising for the Martindale Brightwood community center sponsored by Central Indiana Community Foundation.
