September 2009 Renovation
FHC, 1650 Sheldon Street, Indianapolis, IN

Starting April 18, 2009 many dedicated volunteers started working every Saturday on the northern building at the Center on Sheldon Street. Pictures from each week's progress will be posted on this site.

Please share in our joy of God's provisions of experienced dedicated volunteers and financial grants and gifts that are enabling this work to be accomplished.

This week you can see that we are really getting close to the finish of the renovation project. Indianapolis Public Light Utility has started work towards providing electricity to the building. They laid a trench and electrical cable to the building, but we are still awaiting the final connection so that we can have power. Lights were installed throughout the building and the siding is all but complete. There is only the front porch gable that still needs siding. One of our volunteers and member of our board of directors spent the day trimming and pulling weeds and removing debris from the yard. Some tables were moved into the building and you can see what a wonderful place this will be for our Center. You will seed an eggplant from the garden and one of our garden squirrels enjoying a couple of grapes and using his skills to retrieve sun flower seeds.

Again, thanks to many of our volunteers who have given of themselves tirelessly to enable this project to be done!

Highlights below include lighting installation, trimming the yard, and installing siding on the gable of the house above the porch around the gable vent.
