On-Going Renovation at FHC - 25-April-2009

Starting April 18, 2009 many dedicated volunteers started working every Saturday on the northern building at the Center on Sheldon Street. Pictures from each week's progress will be posted on this site.

Please share in our joy of God's provisions of experienced dedicated volunteers and financial grants and gifts that are enabling this work to be accomplished.

 As work progresses there will be a new front porch with handicap access, the back porch will be reconstructed to be a part of the main structure and will include utilites and a pantry, a new kitchen that meets Board of Health requirements with multiple cooking, preparation and storage appliances, new handicap accessable bathrooms, and new siding. The result will provide spaces for indoor instruction and preparation of harvested garden produce.

On April 25, 2009 work continued on the inside of the structure with the help of a carpenter. Special thanks and recognition to Major Tool and Equipment Inc. Rick Wiegand Chief Operation Officer, Chris Rothenberger, Safety Director, and Robert Patterson, carpenter.
