34th Annual Great Indy Clean Up
at Felege Hiywot Center

All we can say is THANK YOU" from the bottom of our hearts for the kindness poured into our center by the volunteers, partners and supporters on Saturday April 17th 2010.  We greatly appreciate Mayor Gregory Ballard for coming and showing his appreciations personally by shaking their hands and thanking them.  We are also grateful to Cat Andersen from Eyewitness News TV 13 who gave recognition to our volunteers during the evening news.  To read her report click here

Our deepest gratitude goes to:

The entire crew of Cincinnati Bell employees who weeded, made raise beds, and mulched, we say thank you.  We are better prepared for our summer gardening camp, which will be from June 8the to July the 30th

Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, our partners who have been on our side since the conception of Junior Master gardener program.  They have truly made our center "BEAUTIFUL".  Their material donations, expert advises and their time in volunteering and guiding our student on how to garden is priceless.

Marion County Purdue extension our partners in education who provide the entire Junior Master Gardener lesson plans, supplies and volunteering their time are the cause of all the Junior Master Gardeners we are growing at our center.

Eli Lilly Science Education Outreach for providing all the science kits for hands on science activities to make science fun and enjoyable.  It makes a huge difference to our kids who think science is something hard and unthinkable.

Eli Lilly scientists who volunteers countless hours working with our youth making our garden an outdoor lab.

Major Tool and Machine (MTM) President Rick Wiegand has been here with his employees and his family donating their skilled labor, and securing donations for heating plumbing and all fixtures for renovating the 100 year old house.

This is the first year we have an indoor facility with Kitchen and funding for Kitchen was provided by a grant from Lilly Endowment.

The Langerbartels family from Eagle Church led by their two sons Jesse and

Bryce who started the initial renovation in 2007 and recruited the rest of the family including grand

parents and church members and work side by side with MTM to complete the renovation.
